What does blogging do for you?
Submitted by Madeleine Rose.
At first, blogging was a creative and emotional outlet. My first blog was supposed to be a "stream of consciousness". That didn't work so well. I'd sit in front of the computer with the cursor blinking patiently, waiting for the words to flow.
When I discovered Vox and the QotD, I had something new to write about and comment on. And as the Intarweb grows, my 'hood contains my b/f, sister, and b-i-l, so now it's about sharing my thoughts with those who care to read them. It's about crafting a story or point of view, then communicating that to a community through a written medium. I don't get my emotional outlet so much anymore, but it is nice to have such a cool neighborhood!! When I feel the need to be creative, vent, or get my thoughts down without the world seeing them, that's what hidden posts are for! :)
So what does blogging do for me? Allows me to put down my thoughts, share them with people, and practice writing in a non-work environment.

What do you daydream about? Is it something far-fetched, or something that might actually happen?

Are you celebrating Cinco de Mayo?
If by "celebrating" you mean "Partaking of the company's Nacho Social while eating a Chipotle Burrito" then, yes. :-D
Maybe I need a little tequila tonight, too! wooooo!
What is your definition of cheating?
If you have to ask, then it is probably cheating.
What one object/thing would you take if your house were on fire?
I'm assuming that this is one of those "assuming all living things got out ok" questions so....
There are a lot of things I'd like to take, including pictures and what I call my "Momorabilia", but I don't know that there is any one thing I would risk my life to save. I've been the victim of a house fire (once removed, my parents' house) and I can say that the things we lost--things I thought were irreplaceable--are fond memories now and I don't think my life is any worse off for not having the physical item available. So, I would just grab the pictures and hope that I wasn't too sad about losing all the other priceless memories to the flames.
Do you think the judges made the right decision in last night's Project Runway finale?
No, no, no, no, 100000 times, no!!
I have this miraculous gift.
Or curse.
I can predict the winner of a reality show by how much I absolutely do NOT like a contestant.
Project runway last year - TattooNeck (I don't even want to waste the braincells to remember his name)
This year - Christian
But, it gets better!
Lukas from Rockstar: Supernova
Soul Patrol Boy from American Idol Season 6
I should probably bet on these reality shows. I seem to pick the winner every time. Or dislike the winner intensely.. whatever!
How do you think having siblings (or not having siblings) affects who you are as a person?
My siblings have pretty much made me who I am today. My commitment to my family, my connection with my sister and, to a lesser extent, my brother, has shifted my entire world view. I am also more likely to take some chances, knowing that I have a "safety net" of people who love me for me and won't leave me high and dry.
What is your favorite scent or smell and why?
Submitted by Nebraska Plates.
Any scent or smell I can smell is my favorite. I am anosmic because of a stupid accident. Instead, I will tell you about the scent I miss the most.
I miss the smell of fresh-cut grass. As a kid, I always loved volunteering to mow the lawn because I loved the smell so much. There is just something so clean, so fresh, so quintessentially "spring" about the smell of grass.
