QotD: Make it Count

I wanted to take a picture of my ballot too - but I was voting live and cameras = no.

And keep in mind, Prop 8 doesn't just take away those rights - it make discrimination the LAW. Though, if it passes, it just means we start the fight all over again. I hope I don't have to take a 3rd trip down that road - but I will if Californians can't pull their heads out of their rears!
If this passes, I'll do something I've never done -- become an activist. I hope California doesn't pass 8. My ex-pat friend who lives in South Africa told me that even S. Africa has legal same-sex marriage, so how sad would it be that California, or any state, changes their constitution to legalize discrimination...
So many already have!
I looked it up a few days ago and found I've been fighting this since early 1991 - when AB101, ensuring equal rights, was vetoed by the Governor, after he said he'd sign it. 17 years. But I still stay it will become fully legal - in the entire US - in my lifetime!

It is not worth an intelligent woman's time to be in the majority. By definition, there are already enough people to do that.
