I don't get it.
I finally succumbed to sickness last night. I now have a full-blown icky cold. But that's not why I'm posting...
What is with this mass exodus from Vox? What is it that Vox has done (or hasn't done) to make people up and leave? I do not understand it at all!!
Can someone please explain why neighbors are leaving, and blaming Vox?
I will admit that the QotD was my first reason to post every day and, with the new layout, I don't hardly even see it, let alone respond to it. There are a few quirks that bug me, like, how when I hit "more" on my recent neighborhood posts, I don't just get more posts in the same format, I get the complete posts of the ones I've already seen. But even that annoyance isn't enough for me to say - Screw You, Vox, I'm Outta Here!
So uh, what gives? What behind-the-scenes drama am I missing? Why are people jumping ship?

I think it's because I smell bad.
no, I was kind of wondering the same thing. I noticed there is more harrassment going on, I suppose it's just that trolls have discovered Vox now. That's why some people (as you know...) have left or changed their posting habits....
but I agree, while I don't care for the new & unimproved Vox as much, it's not enough to make me leave. I like my neighborhood too much. I also don't have anything to compare Vox to (other than what I have seen on myspace...) as this is my first and only blobbing experience.
oh and I hope you feel better soon, and don't get Yod sick too!
wear some woobie clothes, I heard it's Woobie Thursday.
I'm not a blogger...I'm a Voxer. So I'm not going anywhere :-)
Feel better soon
Thanks everyone!! Yod just got me the ultimate sick day care package and I'm feeling better.
Ok, the irony of my last two sicknesses is that, two days before coming down with something, I took some vitamins from a VitaPack thingy. This has happened twice now, so I'm wondering if it's some sort of biological warfare!! hehe
As for people jumping ship on Vox... it's all still a little strange. I've noticed some things, but I guess I'm not ready to give up on Vox, and especially not on all the cool peeps in my 'hood, just for a little less convenience. =).
1. Horrible, slow, clunky performance
2. Too many ads and page clutter
3. Awkward, less-than-elegant UI
But then, I prefer to buy my own domain and hosting services for a blog I can implement and configure how I want it (in my case, I use WordPress). As far as "social networking," Vox has never really had the kind of silly fun things that Facebook and MySpace offer. (I'm not so much into that stuff but I know lots of people look to services like this for it.)
I don't get the exodus either. My Vox experience has not changed at all, but apparently I did not use the secret all-doing portal page everyone seems to have used to navigate. I syill do it through email prompts and My Neighborood.
I have also not seen the trolling. I believe it is happening because so many people have mentioned it, but I've never been aware of it on anyone's posts or in the comments. Sigh...
