Hair today, gone tomorrow

Jody...you are scaring me again....

This is yet another thing we have in common. Other than me having blonde hair and you having red hair....I could have written this post. :p

I am gonna be sooooo annoyed when tomorrow, pulling my hair mass off the tiles, I think of this and go into gag reflex!!
I stick my hair on the tile too! It drives my husband crazy because occasionally I forget to remove it as I leave the shower.

Taking it off the wall does not bother me, but having to pull it out of the drain after its coated with soap and conditioner... and honestly who knows what else. That makes me gag. I have a strong stomach normally, but all of that gunk makes the hair slimy.

lol it is gross, but i dont have a gag reflex to it. I just grab some toilet paper and swipe it up out of the drain. but my cats like to play in the bathtub too, so its more so their fur than my hair LOL so its not as gross to me

but when your drain is clogged and you have to fashion some long pokey thing to stick down there to grab it all out, thats pretty fuckin gross

Totally normal. Anything lying on the floor of the shower, on top of the drain, is kind of gross. I pick it up with a kleenex and move on. Even from the tiles it's a bit gross - it's like fingernail clippings. Once pretty, but no longer a part of you. Now it's a dead thing (even though, technically, your hair isn't really alive after it emerges from your scalp anyway, even when it's still attached).

But seriously, are you really anosmic? To everything or just certain things? I never knew that. Gosh...I'd like to read a post on how you deal with that.

I'm grossed out by loose hair too. My husband thought I was strange when he saw me doing this - the collecting and balling it up and either reaching out of the shower and throwing it away or setting it aside to throw away later. At first he thought it was just *his* loose hair that was an issue for me, and I had to explain that it was any loose hair, including mine. I've always been that way. I just don't like the way it feels when it's loose, and also, I don't want to clean the drain because it makes me gag, and I don't want to see the drain cleaned either, because that makes me gag as well. I don't want to be in the room, or the next room, or in the vicinity, when the drain is cleaned, because I can hear it happening, and it makes me gag. Oh, and whoever does it has to take the resulting waste out, because, yes, seeing it later makes me gag. I know, a little neurotic, right?
Not at all... the thought of the drain being cleaned makes me gag... how's THAT for neurotic? ;-)

I'll have to type something up... I'm 99% anosmic to everything, and the only reason I know that is when I have a cold, I can taste even LESS than I can normally. ;-)

lol and here I thought I was just weird... but now I am wondering if it is a girl thing cause it does not bother the husband in the least bit. He even leaves his hair in the brush after brushing it and thinks nothing of cleaning it out the next day! GROSS!!
